10/10 on every level. The space is intimate, classy and beautiful. There was no valet but plenty of street parking. Our waiter was amazing and funny on top of being on top of everything. The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sides were equally delicious. We ordered a bunch of ribeyes and the skirt steak. The skirt steak was surprisingly tasty. So so tender. The macaroni and cheese, mushrooms and mashed potatoes were the perfect pairing with the steaks and it was plenty to share for a family of four.

We are so happy we spent our 5th anniversary here. The service was perfection, they treated us so special and kept telling us how happy they were that we're here. This alone with the adorable wine library and house style restaurant makes me want to come back every year. Not to mention the food! Everything we tasted was divine! Perfectly cooked steak, well balanced flavors, and beautiful presentation. Would love to come back here for dinner again. The bar also looked fun if you're looking for the more lively atmosphere. The wine library was perfect for an intimate date night. I would choose the outdoor patio by the fireplace for a group dinner. Thank you to our servers and compliments to the chef.

Came here to celebrate a birthday and we were all so happy to dine here. We were seated outside and it was perfect. The meals and the drinks were amazing! Everything came out perfect. Service was fantastic too. Our server gave us some great recommendations: scallops (my personal favorite), sweet onions, beet and goat cheese ravioli, peach and burata, etc. Since we came on Friday night, the restaurant was packed. Thankfully we had an earlier reservation so it was nice to have a good conversation among us without the noise. I highly recommend this place.

Great restaurant for everything except the steak. Atmosphere was amazing, appetizers were excellent, and the blueberry soufflé was one of the best desserts I've ever had. For the steaks (I had the wagyu and the wife had the bone in ribeye) they were a bit "gamey," which was surprising. I'd come again but wouldn't order the steak.

My husband and I went last Thursday night and didn't have a reservation. We had to seat at the bar which turned out to be an amazing experience. The bartenders took care of us the whole evening and they are so great. Food was delicious. We had the lord Stanley, huge portion. It's a bit fat for me but my husband loves it. Beef tartare was so good. Originally we ordered the Alaskan Halibut, the bartender told us he would recommend the red snapper more. Great suggestion! End up loving the fish! We also ordered the lobster mashed potato which is so creamy. Their beer selection is absolutely amazing. Husband had the Beachwood and Stone Dayfall, both smells so good. Definitely coming back for the beer again! Love the experience!

Great birthday dinner for my boyfriend!! Service was great and very high end! Started with some cocktails and mocktails that were tasty. The bread you MUST get! 3 type of fresh butter with warm bread delicious! Salads were unique. The beet ravioli salad was worth it and super unique. The Caesar wasn't anything too special but was good. The steaks and sides during the main course were really really flavorful. The Mac and cheese and carrots were some of my favorite bites of the night too. The desserts sadly missed for us except the corn ice cream that came with the birthday fun. Fun ambiance for a more fun occasion dining and definitely a splurge type of occasion for us. May not be back soon but would go back again!

This steakhouse is a gem nestled amongst other shops along the beach. As those who live in OC now, if you don't live there Laguna is a trek to get to, but this restaurant is well worth the trek! Service is quick and attentive. It's not froufrou, like Mastros, but the vibe definitely matches its location. The steak was great, I got the dry aged ribeye which was cooked and crusted perfectly and the filet mignon was also delicious. It didn't have steakhouse staples like creamed corn/spinach but their mashed potatoes, side veggies, and especially their baked potatoes are epically good.

Amazing dry aged steak served by a great staff. Scallops were well balanced and cooked to absolute perfection. Relaxed vibe in a historic house. 45 day dry aged Ribeye - Perfectly cooked and nicely seasoned Scallops - Delicious! You can order the entree size and get 4 scallops. Recommended The mushrooms as a side was tasty. Selanne's Mac and Cheese was delicious but very heavy. Pace yourself if you want to make it to dessert. It's no wonder why Michelin mentions Selanne. Definitely recommend a visit to this wonderful place!

Valet parking is around the back. Definitely worth it since it's hard to fine parking in the area. It's $10 for valet parking. There's an attendant there to accept your payment. They accept cash or card. Selanne Steak Tavern is very cute inside. I love the decor! The front entry way and the bar area are adorable and super comfortable. Restrooms were clean. The service was very good. Glasses were refilled as soon as they got low. Our server came over and checked on us constantly. He offered suggestions on the menu and was friendly. The proper dining etiquette was followed, and they brought out appropriate silverware for each course. The food was good. The beet salad was tasty, but could have used some more cheese and saltiness. It was very sweet tasting. The risotto was heavy on the truffle flavor. We all enjoyed the fresh bread with three types of butter. We enjoyed the Macaroni and cheese. It comes with a cream on top. The carrots were really good as well as the cooked spinach. Great spot overall!
